In addition, the acrylic art print is a viable alternative to canvas or dibond prints. The artwork is printed with the help of state-of-the-art UV printing machines. With an acrylic glass art print contrasts plus smaller image details will be more recognizeable because of the subtle tonal gradation of the print.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster is a printed cotton canvas paper with a granular surface structure. It is particularly suited for placing your art replica with a personal frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2 - 6cm around the artwork, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Canvas print: The printed canvas, not to be confused with a painting on a canvas, is an image applied onto cotton canvas. A canvas print makes a charming, pleasant appearance. Your canvas print of your favorite work of art will provide you with the opportunity to transform your individual fine art print into a large artpiece as you know from galleries. How do I hang a canvas print on my wall? A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight. This means, it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without the use of additional wall-mounts. Hence, a canvas print is suited for all types of walls.
  • Aluminium dibond print (metal): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print with an impressive effect of depth - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface structure. The Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your best introduction to fine art prints produced on aluminum. For your Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the chosen work of art on the surface of the aluminum.

Important legal note: We try what we can in order to depict the art products as closely as possible and to showcase them visually on the different product detail pages. However, the tone of the print products, as well as the printing can vary slightly from the presentation on the device's screen. Depending on the settings of your screen and the quality of the surface, not all color pigments will be printed as exactly as the digital version on this website. Because all our fine art prints are processed and printed manually, there might also be slight discrepancies in the size and exact position of the motif.

Directing a sombre, perhaps somewhat melancholy gaze out at us, this man looks at us with a physical and mental immediacy that bridges the 350 years separating his space from ours. The artist did not aim for idealisation. The asymmetrical features and jaundiced skin tones are depicted exactly as they are. The hands are gathered around a pair of gloves, closing the man off from the world. The calm, static pose is typical of the Baroque Classicism that infused Dutch art from around 1650 and a few decades ahead.

The coarse mode of painting is a distinctive Baroque trait of Hals’ portrait. Using rapid, visible brushstrokes painted thinly and wet on wet, the figure has been fixed in a simple, effective manner. Even though the palette is limited to black, white, ochre, and red, the costumes and all other parts of the painting have a great variety of colour.
