"Inscribed, on a sign in the center foreground, beneath the coat of arms of the Elector of Saxony: Haupt... lei... (only partly legible)/ 1752" was the artpiece's original inscription. What is more, the alignment is landscape and has an image ratio of 16 : 9, which means that the length is 78% longer than the width. Bernardo Bellotto was a painter, printmaker of Italian nationality, whose art style can be attributed mainly to Rococo. The Rococo artist lived for 59 years and was born in the year 1721 in Venice, Venezia province, Veneto, Italy and died in 1780 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland.
