Article info

This 19th century artwork was created by the American painter Thomas Birch. The over 170 years old original was painted with the size: 18 1/8 x 27 1/4 in (46 x 69,2 cm) and was painted on the medium oil on canvas. It is in the the Yale University Art Gallery's digital collection, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere. The public domain masterpiece is included with courtesy of Yale University Art Gallery. The creditline of the artwork is the following: Gift of Charles K. Davis. In addition to that, the alignment is landscape and has an image ratio of 3 : 2, which implies that the length is 50% longer than the width.
