This over 300 year-old painting The Italian Comedians was created by Antoine Watteau in 1720. The beyond 300 year-old original was painted with the size: 63,8 x 76,2 cm (25 1/8 x 30 in) and was made with the technique oil on canvas. Today, the artpiece is included in the National Gallery of Art's digital art collection, which is the museum of the US-American nation that preserves, collects, exhibits, and fosters an understanding of works of art. Antoine Watteau was a male painter, whose style can mainly be assigned to Rococo. The artist was born in 1684 in Valenciennes and deceased at the age of 37 in the year 1721 in Nogent-sur-Marne.
