The more than 120 year old artwork After a Summer Shower was created by George Inness. The original measures the size: 81,9 × 107,6 cm (32 1/4 × 42 3/8 in). Oil on canvas was applied by the painter as the technique for the piece of art. The painting has the following text as inscrption: signed lower right: "G. Inness 1894". Moveover, this work of art belongs to the collection of Art Institute Chicago. With courtesy of Art Institute Chicago (licensed: public domain). The creditline of the artpiece is the following: Edward B. Butler Collection. Further, the alignment is landscape with an aspect ratio of 4 : 3, which means that the length is 33% longer than the width. The painter George Inness was a North American artist from United States, whose art style can primarily be classified as Impressionism. The North American artist was born in 1825 and passed away at the age of 69 in 1894 in Bridge of Allan, Scotland.
