The over 130 year old masterpiece The Road Mender (Le Cantonnier) was created by the male French artist Armand Guillaumin. The version of the work of art had the size of 59,7 x 73 cm (23 1/2 x 28 3/4 in.). Oil on canvas was applied by the European painter as the medium of the artpiece. Furthermore, the piece of art forms part of the RISD Museum's art collection located in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. The modern art artwork, which belongs to the public domain is being provided with courtesy of RISD Museum, Providence, RI. Also, the artwork has the following creditline: Helen M. Danforth Acquisition Fund. On top of that, alignment of the digital reproduction is in landscape format with a side ratio of 1.2 : 1, which implies that the length is 20% longer than the width. The artist, painter, graphic artist, lithographer Armand Guillaumin was an artist from France, whose artistic style can be classified as Impressionism.
