This piece of art was painted by the historicist master Karl von Blaas. The more than 150 years old original measures the size: 65 x 48,7 cm. Oil on canvas was applied by the painter as the technique for the painting. The original artpiece has the following inscription: signed and dated lower left: C. Blaas. / 1865th. What is more, the artwork is part of the Belvedere's digital art collection. With courtesy of - © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 2730 (licensed: public domain). Besides, the artpiece has the following creditline: transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna in 1927. In addition to that, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with an image ratio of 1 : 1.4, which means that the length is 29% shorter than the width. Karl von Blaas was a mosaicist, painter, autobiographer, whose artistic style was primarily Historicism. The Austrian painter was born in the year 1815 in Nauders, Tyrol, Austria and died at the age of 79 in the year 1894.
