Portrait Professor Edmund von Hellmer is a work of art painted by Emanuel Baschny. The more than 110 year-old original has the size 69,5 x 56 cm - frame dimensions: 100 x 87,5 x 3,5 cm and was produced with the technique oil on canvas. The original artwork was inscribed with the following details: "signed and dated top right: E. Baschny 1905". The piece of art can be viewed in in the digital art collection of Belvedere. What is more, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait and has a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. The painter, graphic artist, etcher, drawer Emanuel Baschny was a European artist, whose style can mainly be classified as Art Nouveau. The artist was born in the year 1876 in Sternberg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany and passed away at the age of 56 in the year 1932 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria.
