This modern art masterpiece was painted by the Dutch painter Leo Gestel in 1936. It forms part of the digital art collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. Besides, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format with a side ratio of 1 : 1.4, meaning that the length is 29% shorter than the width. The painter, graphic artist Leo Gestel was a European artist from the Netherlands, whose art style can primarily be classified as Expressionism. The European artist was born in the year 1881 in Woerden, South Holland, Netherlands and passed away at the age of 60 in the year 1941 in Hilversum, North Holland, Netherlands.
