Background information on the over 80 years old artpiece

The over 80 years old work of art titled Untitled (horse and foal lying) was created by the male artist Leo Gestel. The artwork can be viewed in in the Rijksmuseum's digital collection, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. With courtesy of - Rijksmuseum (license - public domain).: . The alignment is portrait with an aspect ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. The painter, graphic artist Leo Gestel was a European artist, whose style can be classified as Expressionism. The Expressionist painter lived for a total of 60 years - born in 1881 in Woerden, South Holland, Netherlands and passed away in 1941.
