Supplemental information from the museum (© - by Belvedere - Belvedere)

In the center of the picture is the preaching St. James, shown in pilgrim garb, decorated with shells. It is surrounded by a crowd of listeners, among whom there are also several children. This is a reference to the James Brotherhood, the most accepted the orphans. This painting is probably not a factory preparatory sketch for the high altar of the parish church Schwechater, but a non-self-created by Kremser Schmidt replica. Such images are referred to as "ricordi" and have the function to document a composition for possible future reuse. [Georg Lechner, 10/2009]

Possible material choices

For every art print we offer different sizes & materials. The following sizes and materials are the options we offer you for individualization:

  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): A glossy print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes described as a UV print on plexiglass, transforms your favorite artwork into magnificient wall décor. Your own version of the work of art is being custom-made with modern UV printing technology. The image effect of this are vibrant and deep color tones.
  • Poster print on canvas material: Our poster is a printed cotton canvas paper with a granular surface structure. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm around the artwork to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • The canvas print: The canvas print, which shall not be confused with a real painting on a canvas, is a digital image printed on an industrial printing machine. It creates the particular impression of three dimensionality. Your canvas of your favorite work of art will let you turn your into a large collection piece like you would see in a gallery. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy to hang your Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. That is why, canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
  • Aluminium dibond: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with an outstanding depth. The Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the perfect start to reproductions on aluminum. Colors are luminous in the highest definition, fine details appear crisp.
