The masterpiece with the title Portrait of a Man was painted by the French painter Léon Bonnat in 1868. The original has the following size: Unframed: 80,1 x 65,3 cm (31 9/16 x 25 11/16 in). Oil on fabric was used by the French painter as the medium of the painting. Signed upper left: Ln Bonnat. / 1868. is the painting's inscription. Nowadays, this artwork is in the the collection of The Cleveland Museum of Art, which is one of the leading museums worldwide that builds, preserves, studies, and shares its outstanding collections of art from all periods and parts of the world, generating new scholarship and understanding, while serving as a social and intellectual hub for its community.
