Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin between 2 - 6cm around the painting to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
  • The canvas print: A printed canvas, not to be confused with a painting on a canvas, is a digital image printed from an industrial printing machine. What is more, canvas generates a familiar and enjoyable impression. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for all kinds of walls.
  • Aluminium dibond (metal print): This is a metal print made on aluminium dibond material with a true depth effect. For the Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print your selected artwork onto the surface of the white-primed aluminum. The bright parts of the artwork shimmer with a silk gloss, however without any glow. This print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is an extremely contemporary way to display art reproductions, since it puts 100% of the viewer’s attention on the replica of the artwork.

This unfinished painting may have been conceived as part of a series devoted to the story of the Old Testament patriarch Joseph, who is seen here standing in a grand Renaissance palace, interpreting the dreams of Pharaoh (Genesis 41:14–36).The materials and technique employed—a water-based medium on ungrounded fine-weave canvas, called by the German term Tüchlein—account for the picture’s subdued tonality and matte surface as well as its worn condition. Such Tüchlein offered a common lightweight and economical alternative to both large-scale panel paintings and tapestries, but their disadvantage was their susceptibility to deterioration and damage.
