The painter Jan Lievens was a European artist, whose art style was mainly Baroque. The Dutch artist was born in the year 1607 in Leiden and died at the age of 67 in the year 1674 in Amsterdam.

The books, too, are a disappointment; they are merely empty bindings, limp covers of leather or parchment meant to hold bills and other documents.
