Gustave Courbet was a painter, sculptor, communard from France, whose style can mainly be classified as Realism. The French artist lived for 58 years and was born in the year 1819 in Ornans, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France and passed away in the year 1877 in La Tour-de-Peilz, Vaud, Switzerland.
