The Education of the Virgin was created by Diego Velázquez. The 400 year-old version of the artwork measures the size: unframed: 168 x 136 cm (66 1/8 x 53 9/16 in) framed: 207,01 x 175,26 x 198,12 cm (81 1/2 x 69 x 78 in). Oil on canvas was used by the artist as the technique for the masterpiece. Furthermore, the piece of art is in the the Yale University Art Gallery's art collection, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere. With courtesy of - Yale University Art Gallery (license - public domain). The creditline of the artwork is: Gift of Henry H. Townshend, 1897, .B. 1901, and Dr. Raynham Townshend, 1900S. Further, the alignment is in portrait format with a ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
