The original artwork has the following inscription: signed and dated: PCodde / A.° 1636. Furthermore, this work of art is in the the collection of Mauritshuis. Pieter Codde was a male painter, whose artistic style can be attributed primarily to Baroque. The European painter lived for 79 years and was born in 1599 in Amsterdam and deceased in 1678.
