• Poster on canvas material: Our poster is a UV printed canvas with a slightly rough surface finish. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the painting, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.

Important note: We try whatever we can in order to depict the art products as accurately as possible and to display them visually. Claude Monet’s trip to Norway in 1895 was perhaps the most physically taxing of all his many painting campaigns. Touring the country with his stepson Jacques Hoschedé, who lived in Christiania (now Oslo), he was awestruck but initially frustrated in his search for good motifs amid the snow. Nevertheless, he painted 29 Norwegian scenes during a two-month stay. These included at least six views of Sandvika, a village near Christiania whose iron bridge may have reminded Monet of the Japanese bridge at his home in Giverny.

This more than 120 years old artwork Sandvika, Norway was made by Claude Monet. The original version was painted with the size - 73,4 × 92,5 cm (28 7/8 × 36 3/8 in). Oil on canvas was used by the European painter as the technique for the work of art. The artwork's inscription is: inscribed, lower left: Claude Monet 95. Today, this artwork forms part of the art collection of Art Institute Chicago, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe. Further, the alignment is landscape and has a side ratio of 1.2 : 1, which implies that the length is 20% longer than the width. The painter Claude Monet was an artist from France, whose art style can mainly be assigned to Impressionism. The Impressionist artist was born in 1840 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France and died at the age of 86 in 1926.
