Martyrdom of Saint Lawrence was created by the male Dutch artist Salomon de Bray in 1652. The more than 360 years old original was made with the size: 60 1/8 x 49 1/8 in. Oil on canvas was used by the artist as the technique for the artwork. Today, the artpiece is included in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's digital art collection, which is the largest art museum in the western United States, with a collection of more than 142.000 objects that illuminate 6.000 years of artistic expression across the globe. Salomon de Bray was a writer, architect, poet, painter, whose art style was primarily Baroque. The European painter was born in the year 1597 in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands and died at the age of 67 in 1664 in Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands.
