What specifically does the original description of the The Metropolitan Museum of Art say about this artwork painted by Piero di Cosimo? (© Copyright - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - www.metmuseum.org)

This is one of the most singular works of the Renaissance. Its inspiration was the fifth book of On the Nature of Things by the Epicurean poet and philosopher Lucretius (ca. 99–55 B.C.). A manuscript of Lucretius’s work was discovered in 1417 and published in Florence in 1471–73. Lucretius believed that the workings of the world and the evolution of humans can be accounted for by natural rather than divine causes, and he put forward a vision of the history of primitive man and the advent of civilization much discussed in Florentine intellectual circles. Select a item material variant

For every product we offer a range of different sizes & materials. The following options are available for individualization:

  • Aluminium dibond: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with an impressive depth effect. The bright & white components of the original artwork shimmer with a silk gloss but without the glow. The UV print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is a truly modern way to showcase art prints, because it draws attention on the replica of the artwork.
  • Canvas: A UV printed canvas material stretched on a wood stretcher frame. A canvas generates a plastic effect of three-dimensionality. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Because of thata canvas print is suited for any type of wall.
  • Acrylic glass print: An acrylic glass print, which is often referred to as a print on plexiglass, will transform the original work of art into beautiful wall decoration and makes a great alternative option to canvas and dibond prints. Your own replica of the work of art is being printed with the help of state-of-the-art UV printing machines. This makes intense, stunning color hues.
  • Poster (canvas material): The poster is a printed flat cotton canvas with a nice structure on the surface. It is best designed for placing your art print using a custom-made frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of something between 2 - 6cm around the painting, which facilitates the framing.
