Select your desired material

For every art print we offer different materials and sizes. The following options are available for individualization:

  • The acrylic glass print (with real glass coating on top): The print on acrylic glass, often referenced as a print on plexiglass, makes your favorite original into home decoration. Additionally, the acrylic glass art print forms a great alternative option to canvas and dibond art prints. The work of art is being custom-made with the help of state-of-the-art UV printing technology. The real glass coating protects your chosen fine art print against sunlight and heat for many decades.
  • Metal print (aluminium dibond): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an impressive depth, creating a contemporary look by having a non-reflective surface. The Aluminium Dibond Print is the excellent introduction to fine art prints with aluminum. The bright & white components of the original work of art shimmer with a silky gloss, however without any glare. Colors are luminous in the highest definition, the details are crisp and clear.
  • Canvas: A canvas print is a printed canvas stretched on a wood frame. A canvas has a exclusive impression of three-dimensionality. Hanging a canvas print: A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight, which means that it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Because of thata canvas print is suited for any kind of wall.
  • Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster is a UV printed canvas paper with a slightly roughened finish on the surface. A poster is best used for framing your fine art print using a personal frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the print motif in order to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.

Important legal note: We try whatever we can in order to depict our art products as exact as possible and to display them visually on the product detail pages. Nonetheless, the tone of the printed materials and the printing might diverge marginally from the image on the screen. Depending on your screen settings and the condition of the surface, colors may not be printed as realistically as the digital version on this website. Considering that our art reproductions are printed and processed by hand, there might as well be slight deviations in the motif's size and exact position.

Separated into two zones with allegorical figures in the foreground and historical figures in the background, Peter Paul Rubens here commemorated the meeting of King Ferdinand III of Hungary and the Cardinal-Infante Ferdinand at Nördlingen on the Danube River on September 2, 1634. Four days later, the two Catholic rulers would combine their armies to win an important victory over Protestant forces. At the upper right, the Cardinal-Infante solemnly greets his cousin Ferdinand.

Rubens made this freely drawn oil sketch as a modello for the right panel of the great Stage of Welcome, a monumental canvas that decorated a triumphal arch erected for the ceremonial entry into Antwerp of the newly appointed governor of the southern Netherlands, the Cardinal-Infante Ferdinand of Spain.

In the foreground, allegorical figures comment on the significance of the event. At the left a naiad or water nymph rests her arm on the personification of the River Danube, who sits on a urn flowing with blood and water while extending his left arm in a gesture of welcome. Kneeling at the right, the figure of Germania, dressed in black, rests her head on her hand. She gazes mournfully at the viewer while a winged genius draws her attention to the meeting behind her.
