Oil on panel was used by the European painter as the medium of the work of art. The original artwork is inscribed with the text: signed: AVDN. Today, the artwork can be viewed in in the Mauritshuis's collection, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. The painter, drawer Aert van der Neer was an artist, whose style can be attributed mainly to Baroque. The artist was born in the year 1603 and deceased at the age of 74 in 1677.
