The masterpiece was painted by the artist Master of Frankfurt. The more than 500 year-old original version had the size: height: 158,7 cm width: 70,8 cm | height: 62,5 in width: 27,9 in. Oil on panel was applied by the painter as the medium of the artwork. Today, this piece of art is in the the collection of Mauritshuis, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. The classic art masterpiece, which belongs to the public domain is included with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. Besides, the artpiece has the creditline: George Grenville, first Marquess of Buckingham, Stowe, before 1783, and his heirs; George Donaldson Gallery, London, before 1914; Walter von Pannwitz (1856-1920), Berlin, c.1914-1920; his widow, Cathalina von Pannwitz-Roth (1876-1959), Bennebroek and Heemstede, 1920-1940 (cat. 1926, no. 21); sold by her via W.A. Hofer to Hermann Göring, Berlin, 18 October 1940; Stichting Nederlands Kunstbezit (inv. no. NK 2555); on loan to the Mauritshuis, 1948-1960; transferred, 1960. In addition to this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait and has a ratio of 2 : 5, which implies that the length is 60% shorter than the width. The painter Master of Frankfurt was an artist, whose artistic style can be attributed mainly to Northern Renaissance. The artist lived for a total of 24 years, born in 1491 and deceased in 1515.
