Additional description from Rijksmuseum website (© Copyright - Rijksmuseum - Rijksmuseum)

The house of Turner’s friend, the collector Walter Fawkes, is depicted in the distance of this watercolour. It is a free interpretation of reality, dominated by atmospheric light effects. Turner did not paint watercolours of this kind out of doors, but based them on drawn studies of nature. In his studio, he would first make a schematic colour sketch of the composition before actually beginning to paint a watercolour.

  • Poster print (canvas material): Our poster print is a UV printed sheet of canvas paper with a nice surface finish, which reminds the original work of art. It is qualified for placing your art replica with the help of a custom frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Aluminium dibond: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with a true depth effect - for a modern impression and a non-reflective surface. For your Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the favorite artpiece on the surface of the white-primed aluminum material. The bright & white parts of the original work of art shine with a silk gloss, however without any glow. The direct UV print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is a truly modern way to showcase fine art prints, because it puts all of the viewer’s focus on the replica of the artwork.
  • The canvas print: A printed canvas, which should not be mistaken with a painting on a canvas, is a digital copy applied directly on cotton canvas material. Further, a printed canvas produces a familiar and pleasant effect. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without the use of additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.
  • The acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An acrylic glass print, often denoted as a print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite original into décor. Our acrylic glass protects your selected art print against light and external influences for between 4 and six decades.
