Background information on the product

The more than 190 year-old artpiece "Portrait of a farmer" was created by the painter Franz Gasser. The work of art measures the size: 30 x 24,5 cm - frame dimensions: 43 x 38 x 6 cm. Oil on canvas was applied by the painter as the technique for the painting. The original artwork is inscribed with the following information: signed and dated on the right side: Gasser pinxit 826. This artpiece is part of the art collection of Belvedere in Vienna, Austria. We are happy to state that the masterpiece, which belongs to the public domain is supplied with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 1101. In addition to that, the artpiece has the following creditline: purchase from Ludwig Dux, Vienna in 1910. The alignment is portrait and has a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Franz Gasser was a painter, whose style can be classified as Realism. The painter was born in the year 1807 in Eisentratten, Carinthia and passed away at the age of 31 in the year 1838.
