Battle of Ramillies on May 23 1706 between the allied forces under Marlborough and commado Nassau-Ouwerkerk against the united French, Spanish and Bavarian troops under the command of Marshal Villeroy. Left some tall trees, right on the third plan the ridge, which Folx-les-Caves and Jandreouille and are in the offing in the middle of the plateau of Mont St. André. In the foreground a rider fight, which took place on the left side of the Allies against the right of Villeroy. Right in the corner with a staff presumably portrait of Marlborough on a black horse. Further back is the main force of the Allies, under the command of Lord Orteney, the center of the French-Spanish Bavarian lines, including Villeroy and Elector Maximilian Emanuel of Beiren, in which at Ramillies and further north, at Offus and Autreglise (Other Church) were prepared.
