What kind of fine art print materials can I select?

For every fine art print we offer a range of different materials and sizes. We allow you to pick your favorite size and material among the following product individualization options:

  • Acrylic glass print: A glossy print on acrylic glass, often named a print on plexiglass, will change the original artwork into amazing home decoration. The major upside of an acrylic glass print is that contrasts and small artwork details will be exposed due to the fine tonal gradation.
  • Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding depth effect. A direct Aluminium Dibond Print is the ideal start to fine prints produced on aluminum. For the Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the selected artwork on the surface of the white-primed aluminum material. The colors of the print are vivid and luminous, fine details of the print appear clear and crisp.
  • The poster print on canvas material: A poster is a printed sheet of flat canvas with a fine finish on the surface. A poster print is best suited for framing your art copy with a special frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the painting, which facilitates the framing.
  • The canvas print: A canvas print is a printed cotton canvas stretched on a wooden stretcher. Hanging your canvas print: A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.

Disclaimer: We do the best we can in order to describe the art products with as many details as it is possible and to showcase them visually. However, the colors of the printed materials, as well as the printing can differ marginally from the representation on your device's screen. Depending on your screen settings and the nature of the surface, not all color pigments are printed as exactly as the digital version depicted here. Because our art reproductions are printed and processed manually, there may as well be slight deviations in the motif's size and exact position.

Shrovetide, now better known as Mardi Gras, is the traditional period of indulgence before the fasting and self-discipline of Lent. In the seventeenth-century Netherlands, it was also the occasion for theatrical performances by the painters’ guilds. Here, Hals depicts two stock figures from these plays, Hans Worst, with a sausage dangling from his cap, and Pekelharing, who sports a garland of salted fish and eggs. They flank a richly dressed girl (probably a boy in drag, as women were not permitted to perform on these occasions). Still life elements litter the foreground, evoking both the traditional foods of the festival and an abundance of erotic innuendo.
