The painter Friedrich von Amerling was an artist, whose style can be classified as Biedermeier. The Austrian artist was born in 1803 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria and deceased at the age of 84 in the year 1887 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria.

Alexander Freiherr Vesque of Püttlingen (born 1834, date of death unknown) was Evangelist Baron born the son of the composer Johann Vesque of Püttlingen (1803-1883) and his wife Marie, Márkus had painted the Amerling in 1832 to Eör (1814 to 1889) (Belvedere, Inv 5876). Alexander struck a diplomatic career, was initially Court and Ministerialkonzipist and office secretary in the Austro-Hungarian Embassy in Paris (where he married in 1877 Berthe Aubé de la Hault) and later councilor of the Austro-Hungarian Embassy in London.
