This masterpiece was made by the male artist William Michael Harnett in 1881. The 130 year-old version of the artwork measures the size of 5 3/8 x 7 1/8 in (13,7 x 18,1 cm) framed: 12 7/8 x 14 3/4 x 2 3/4 in (32,7 x 37,5 x 7 cm) and was produced with the techinque of oil on canvas. Creditline of the artwork: Bequest of Josephine Setze. Besides this, the alignment is in landscape format with a side ratio of 1.4 : 1, which means that the length is 40% longer than the width. William Michael Harnett was a painter, whose artistic style can be classified as Realism. The artist lived for a total of 44 years, born in 1848 in Clonakilty, County Cork, Ireland and deceased in 1892.
