The dress, barely visible under the red shawl, does not help clarify the date of completion of this miniature Empire period. Short hair were fashionable young woman to 1810.La shows some resemblance to Pauline Bonaparte, as seen represented in a signed miniature Isabey in the Louvre museum (Graphic Arts department, inv. RF 3825 , Front; Cf. Lemoine-Bouchard, Nathalie 2002, p.133).
