The 19th century artpiece titled "Oliver Wolcott, Jr. (1760-1833), 1778, .D. 1819" was made by the artist John Vanderlyn in 1820. Moveover, this artwork can be viewed in in the Yale University Art Gallery's digital collection, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere. The creditline of the artpiece is the following: Gift of George Gibbs, (Hon.) 1808. What is more, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format with an image ratio of 1 : 1.2, which implies that the length is 20% shorter than the width. The painter John Vanderlyn was an artist, whose artistic style was primarily Romanticism. The North American painter was born in 1775 in Kingston, Ulster county, New York state, United States and passed away at the age of 77 in the year 1852.
