About the product

The 16th century masterpiece was made by the mannerist master Giuseppe Arcimboldo. The piece of art measures the size: 96,8 x 73 x 1,9 cm (38 1/8 x 28 3/4 x 3/4 in) framed: 99,9 x 76,4 x 3,7 cm (39 5/16 x 30 1/16 x 1 7/16 in). Oil in canvas was applied by the European artist as the technique for the masterpiece. What is more, this artwork is included in the digital collection of Yale University Art Gallery, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere. This work of art, which is part of the public domain is provided with courtesy of Yale University Art Gallery. The creditline of the artwork is the following: Gift of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh J. Chisolm, Jr. , 1936 (Accepted by Director’s Letter 12/29/1959). In addition to that, the alignment is portrait and has a ratio of 3 : 4, which means that the length is 25% shorter than the width. The painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo was an artist, whose art style was primarily Mannerism. The artist was born in the year 1527 in Milan and passed away at the age of 66 in 1593.
