In the year 1803 Frederick Kemmelmeyer made the 19th century artpiece titled "The American Star (George Washington)". The version of the masterpiece measures the size: 22 x 17 3/4 in (55,9 x 45,1 cm). Oil and gold leaf on paper was applied by the American artist as the medium of the artpiece. Nowadays, this work of art is included in the The Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection, which is one of the world's largest and finest art museums, which includes more than two million works of art spanning five thousand years of world culture, from prehistory to the present and from every part of the globe..
