The 19th century painting was painted by the American artist Albert Bierstadt. The version of the artwork was painted with the absolute exact size of 19 1/8 x 14 in (48,6 x 35,6 cm) framed: 25 1/2 x 20 5/8 x 2 3/4 in (64,8 x 52,4 x 7 cm). Oil on paper mounted on canvas was used by the painter as the technique for the artwork. The artpiece forms part of the Saint Louis Art Museum's collection, which is a world renowned fine arts museum known for its outstanding and comprehensive collection spanning 5000 years of cultures and genres. Albert Bierstadt was a male painter from United States, whose artistic style was mainly Romanticism. The North American painter was born in the year 1830 in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and died at the age of 72 in the year 1902 in Irving, Chautauqua county, New York state, United States.
