In 1859 the American painter Albert Bierstadt made the 19th century artwork titled "Surveyor’s Wagon in the Rockies". The more than 160 years old original had the size: 8 x 13 1/8 in (20,3 x 33,3 cm) framed: 13 7/8 x 18 7/8 x 2 in (35,2 x 47,9 x 5,1 cm). Oil on paper mounted on masonite was used by the North American painter as the medium of the piece of art. This artwork is in the the collection of Saint Louis Art Museum, which is a world renowned fine arts museum known for its outstanding and comprehensive collection spanning 5000 years of cultures and genres.
