The painter, sculptor, university teacher, graphic artist, drawer, lithographer Lovis Corinth was an artist, whose artistic style can mainly be classified as Modern Art. The European artist was born in 1858 in Gvardeysk, Kaliningradskaya Oblast�, Russia and passed away at the age of 67 in 1925 in Zandvoort, North Holland, Netherlands.

On his close observation alone Corinth might not leave. He made - at least in the case of Ms. Moll - a precise, preparatory portrait study, which may have served him repeatedly as a reference.
