The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. This means, it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.

Although born in France, Pécheux was called to Parma, Italy, in 1765 to paint a portrait of Princess Maria Luisa of Bourbon-Parma for the family of her fiancé, the Prince of Asturias, later Charles IV of Spain. Maria Luisa, granddaughter of both Philip V of Spain and Louis XV of France, wears the decoration of the Hapsburg order of the Croix-Étoilée pinned to her dress and holds a snuffbox with a miniature of her future husband in her right hand. The impressive chair is part of a suite thought ordered in Paris, an example of which is in the museum’s collection (07.225.57). The painting served as a source for other portraits of the princess by Anton Raphael Mengs and Francisco de Goya y Lucientes.

Summary

This over 250 year-old masterpiece was painted by the male artist Laurent Pécheux. The original was made with the size 90 7/8 x 64 3/4 in (230,8 x 164,5 cm). Oil on canvas was applied by the European painter as the medium of the masterpiece. This work of art can be viewed in in the The Metropolitan Museum of Art's digital collection. Furthermore, the artwork has the creditline: Bequest of Annie C. Kane, 1926. Besides this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with an aspect ratio of 1 : 1.4, which means that the length is 29% shorter than the width. Laurent Pécheux was a male painter, whose style can primarily be classified as Rococo. The Rococo painter was born in the year 1729 and died at the age of 92 in the year 1821.
