Viewers of the time would have taken in at a glance not only the off-key carousing but also signs—the fancy shoes, frizzy hair, open collar, and so on—that make the symbolic satyr redundant. Quast worked in the cosmopolitan milieus of Amsterdam and The Hague. His paintings and finished drawings reveal a broad knowledge of Dutch, Flemish, and French popular imagery (including Callot’s etchings) as well as the comic stage.

In the product dropdown selection you can pick the material and size of your choice. You can choose your your favorite size and material among the following options:

  • Poster (canvas material): The poster print is a printed cotton canvas with a slightly rough texture on the surface. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of something between 2 - 6cm round about the print motif to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, often labelled as a plexiglass print, transforms the original into magnificient décor. Beyond that, it makes a distinct alternative to canvas and dibond art prints. Your work of art will be printed with the help of modern UV direct print technology. With an acrylic glass art print sharp contrasts plus image details will be visible due to the very fine tonal gradation.
  • Metal (aluminium dibond print): An Aluminium Dibond print is a material with an impressive effect of depth. For the Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the work of art right onto the surface of the aluminum composite.
  • The canvas print: The printed canvas, not to be mistaken with an artwork painted on a canvas, is a digital image applied onto canvas. It has the plastic impression of three dimensionality. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which means that it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without the use of extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for any kind of wall.
