The Port is a masterpiece by Jean Metzinger in 1920. The 100 year old version of the masterpiece measures the size - 81,1 x 54,1 cm (31 15/16 x 21 5/16 in) framed: 84,6 x 57,3 x 4,4 cm (33 5/16 x 22 9/16 x 1 3/4 in). Oil on canvas was applied by the French artist as the technique for the artwork. Today, the work of art is in the the Yale University Art Gallery's digital art collection. We are delighted to state that the artpiece, which belongs to the public domain is being included with courtesy of Yale University Art Gallery. In addition, the artwork has the creditline: Gift of Collection Société Anonyme. Besides, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format and has a side ratio of 2 : 3, which implies that the length is 33% shorter than the width. The poet, painter Jean Metzinger was an artist from France, whose style was primarily Cubism. The European artist lived for a total of 73 years - born in 1883 in Nantes, Pays de la Loire, France and died in 1956.
