"The family of the sailor" was by the male Dutch artist Ary Scheffer. The beyond 190 year old original version has the size: Height: 41 cm, Width: 32,5 cm. Oil painting was applied by the Dutch painter as the medium of the artwork. "Signing of the running - S. B. g. "A. Scheffer / 1826"" was the painting's original inscription. Today, the artwork is included in the Musée de la Vie romantique Paris's digital collection, which is one of the 14 City of Paris Museums that are incorporated in the public institution Paris Musées.
