Possible product material choices
In the product dropdown menu you can pick a material and a size of your choice. You can choose among the following product customization options:
- Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): The print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes referred to as a fine art print on plexiglass, will convert your favorite original work of art into lovely décor and forms a distinct alternative to aluminium or canvas prints. The acrylic glass protects your selected art print against sunlight and heat for several decades.
- Canvas: A printed canvas material stretched on a wood stretcher frame. Your printed canvas of this artpiece will allow you to transform your custom fine art print into a large artpiece like you would see in a gallery. A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy to hang up the Canvas print without the support of additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.
- The poster print (canvas material): The Artprinta poster is a UV printed flat cotton canvas paper with a slight structure on the surface, that resembles the original version of the masterpiece. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm around the print motif to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
- Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding effect of depth. The colors of the print are luminous, fine details are very clear.
Important legal note: We try what we can in order to depict our products as clearly as possible and to showcase them visually. Nonetheless, the pigments of the print products, as well as the imprint may diverge to a certain extent from the representation on the monitor. Depending on your settings of your screen and the nature of the surface, colors might not be printed one hundret percent realistically. Because the art reproductions are printed and processed by hand, there might as well be slight discrepancies in the motif's size and exact position.

General description as provided from the museum's website (© Copyright - Nationalmuseum Stockholm - www.nationalmuseum.se)
This painting with its animal skeletons and skulls interspersed with living animals and insects could be interpreted as a reminder of the fact that everything is finite. The title suggests this: remember that you are mortal. Symbolism of this kind was common and was meant to urge people to reflect, and caution against sinful living. The artist Savery had spent time as court painter to the emperor Rudolf II in Prague. The painting was probably produced at the emperor’s court, where there was great interest in nature and zoology.
