Knitter pink bottom illustrates the recent work of Serusier that moves away from the Breton reality to be inspired by medieval tapestries. The old painter, marked by alcoholism, his wife's illness and poor sales of his works seems to find refuge in a more timeless and more free paint composition rules based on the golden ratio, "rhythm and instrument divinity ", he imposed previously.
