This piece of art The departure of Christ from his disciples (transition to Gethsemane) was painted by the artist Joseph von Führich. The original has the following size 72 x 92 cm - frame dimensions: 83 × 103 × 9 cm. Oil on canvas was applied by the painter as the medium of the work of art. The original artwork has the following text as inscrption: "signed and dated lower left of the sword: Jos. Fiihrich pinx. A. D. / 1839". The artpiece belongs to the collection of Belvedere, which is one of Europe's most famous museums with three locations that blends the experience of architecture and art in a unique way. The painter Joseph von Führich was an artist, whose style can mainly be classified as Romanticism. The artist was born in the year 1800 in Kratzau / Chrastava, Czech Republic and passed away at the age of 76 in the year 1876 in Vienna.
