General information by The Cleveland Museum of Art (© - The Cleveland Museum of Art - www.clevelandart.org)
In early 19th-century America, some artists traveled from town to town seeking commissions for portrait paintings. Sitters would dress in their best outfits to have their likenesses captured, as was apparently the case here.
The modern art piece of art Nathaniel Olds was made by the American painter Jeptha Homer Wade in 1837. The 180 year-old painting measures the dimensions: Framed: 87 x 71,8 x 5,7 cm (34 1/4 x 28 1/4 x 2 1/4 in); Unframed: 76,5 x 61,2 cm (30 1/8 x 24 1/8 in) and was crafted on the medium oil on canvas. The artwork's inscription is the following: "signed on back: J.H. WADE / 6-37-15 / Farmer Valley". Today, this work of art is included in the The Cleveland Museum of Art's art collection. With courtesy of - The Cleveland Museum of Art (public domain). Creditline of the artwork: Seventy-fifth anniversary gift of Jeptha H. Wade III. In addition to that, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with a ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
Pick your material
The product dropdown menu gives you the chance to choose your individual material and size. You can select your favorite material and size between the following preferences:
- The canvas print: A canvas direct print is a printed cotton canvas mounted on a wooden stretcher. A canvas of your favorite work of art will provide you with the chance of turning your fine art print into a large artwork like you would see in a gallery. A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.
- Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): A glossy acrylic glass print, often referenced as a plexiglass print, makes an original work of art into décor. Furthermore, it makes a viable alternative to canvas or dibond prints. Our plexiglass with real glass coating protects your custom art print against sunlight and heat for between four and 6 decades.
- The poster print (canvas material): A poster is a printed cotton canvas paper with a granular texture on the surface. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the print motif, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
- Aluminium dibond: Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with a true depth effect - for a modern impression and a non-reflective surface structure. The Aluminium Dibond Print is your excellent introduction to art replicas on aluminum. For the Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print your artwork onto the surface of the aluminum composite.

Important legal note: We try everything in order to describe the art products with as many details as possible and to display them visually. At the same time, the colors of the printing material, as well as the printing may diverge marginally from the presentation on the device's monitor. Depending on your screen settings and the condition of the surface, not all color pigments can be printed as realisitcally as the digital version. Given that all the fine art prints are processed and printed manually, there may as well be slight differences in the exact position and the size of the motif.
