The charge of Prince Lambesc at the entrance to Tuileries Gardens July 12, 1789, current 1st district. Historic stage. French Revolution. Soldiers, horsemen. Horses of Marly, Coysevox. Statue of Louis XV, Bouchardon.
Following the dismissal of Necker, demonstrations of discontent were born in Paris; they led the Royal German regiment of Prince of Lambesc in charge of walkers from the Tuileries Garden. This unfortunate act would result in the taking of the Bastille two days later.
