Article specifications

The 19th century piece of art was created by the artist Friedrich August Mathias Gauermann. The over 190 year-old original version had the following following dimensions 17 x 22 cm - frame dimensions: 18,5 x 23,5 x 3 cm and was manufactured with the technique of oil on paper on canvas. What is more, this piece of art is in the the collection of Belvedere. We are glad to mention that the public domain artwork is provided with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 4334. Creditline of the artwork: purchase from the Dorotheum, Vienna in 1949. The alignment of the digital reproduction is in landscape format with an aspect ratio of 4 : 3, meaning that the length is 33% longer than the width. Friedrich August Mathias Gauermann was a painter, whose artistic style can be attributed mainly to Realism. The painter lived for 55 years, born in 1807 in Miesbach in Wiener Neustadt and passed away in 1862 in Vienna.
