The sitter was born 1804 in Česká Lípa (Česká Lipa). She was the daughter of Ernest Proch, an administrative official and the eldest daughter of the famous musician Vinzenz Maschek (1755 - 1831) from Prague. Friederike's younger brother Heinrich Proch (1809 -?), Violinist and composer, the most successful students of the composer and music teacher Joseph Benes was. Joseph and Friederike probably married Friederike 1828. "Friederike Benesch" was made by Eduard Ender in the year 1840. The beyond 180 year old original was made with the size: 126,5 x 94,5 cm - frame size: 147 x 117 x 10 cm and was manufactured with the medium oil on canvas. The original artwork's inscription is the following: "signed and dated lower left: Ed. Ender / 1840". The creditline of the artpiece is the following: dedication Louise Benes, Vienna in 1957. In addition to this, the alignment is in portrait format with a ratio of 3 : 4, which means that the length is 25% shorter than the width. The painter Eduard Ender was an artist, whose art style can primarily be classified as Historicism. The Austrian artist was born in the year 1822 in Rome and passed away at the age of 61 in the year 1883.
