English: A student has fallen asleep in a chair. On the table are gloves, writing materials and books. The focus is on the pile of books, with its intricate play of light and shadow that creates a tension in the picture. The painting has been interpreted as conveying a moral message – about the importanceof making proper use of one’s time. But when it was brought to attention in the major Rembrandt exhibition in 1992, interest in the work was also prompted by associations with a modern esthetic –the arrangement of piled-up books recalled a stylised idiom akin to modernism.

Pick your favorite item material

For every art print we offer a range of different materials & sizes. You can select your favorite material and size between the following options:

  • Canvas print: A canvas print is a printed cotton canvas stretched on a wood frame. It generates a typical impression of three-dimensionality. Besides, canvas print generates a nice and appealing atmosphere. A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight, which means that it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without the use of additional wall-mounts. That is why, canvas prints are suitable for any type of wall.
  • The glossy acrylic glass print: The print on acrylic glass, which is often denoted as a print on plexiglass, will convert the original work of art into wall decoration. The great advantage of a plexiglass fine art print is that contrasts plus small details become exposed thanks to the delicate tonal gradation. The acrylic glass protects your chosen art replica against sunlight and heat for up to 60 years.
  • Aluminium dibond (metal print): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with an impressive depth - for a modern impression and non-reflective surface structure. The bright and white parts of the artpiece shine with a silky gloss but without the glare. The colors are luminous in the highest definition, the details appear crisp, and the print has a a matte appearance you can literally feel. The print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is a truly sophisticated way to showcase artworks, because it puts the viewer’s attention on the whole artwork.
  • Poster on canvas material: Our poster print is a printed canvas with a granular structure on the surface. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the painting, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
