Poetic and evocative, this twilight landscape shows the moon rising over the marshes and islands of Alexandria Bay, New York. George Inness felt that the goal of a work of art is “not to instruct, not to edify, but to awaken an emotion…and the true beauty of the work consists in the beauty of the sentiment or emotion which it inspires.” Viewing all of nature as symbolic and full of meaning, Inness imbued his landscapes with a spiritual dimension, influenced by the ideas of the eighteenth-century Swedish theologian Emanuel Swedenborg.

Choose your fine art print material variant

The product dropdown menu provides you with the chance to select the material and sizeaccording to your personal preferences. Choose among the following product options now to match your preferences in size and material:

  • Canvas print: The canvas print is a printed canvas mounted on a wooden stretcher. A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight. That means, it is easy to hang the Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. Therefore, a canvas print is suited for all types of walls.
  • Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): This is a metal print manufactured on aluminium dibond with an outstanding depth effect. The non-reflective surface creates a modern look. For your Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print your favorite artpiece on the aluminium white-primed surface. The white and bright parts of the artwork shimmer with a silky gloss but without the glare. The colors of the print are bright and luminous in the highest definition, fine details of the print appear very clear, and there’s a matte appearance that you can literally feel.
  • Printed poster on canvas material: The Artprinta poster print is a printed sheet of flat canvas with a fine surface finish. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin 2-6cm round about the print, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
  • Acrylic glass print: A glossy print on acrylic glass, often referenced as a plexiglass print, will turn the original artwork into brilliant wall decoration and offers a distinct alternative to dibond or canvas fine art prints. The great benefit of a plexiglass fine art print is that sharp contrasts plus small details become more identifiable because of the precise tonal gradation. The acrylic glass protects your custom art print against light and heat for many years.
