What kind of product materials can I pick?
The product dropdown menu provides you with the opportunity to pick the size and material of your choice. In order match your personal requirements perfectly, you can choose among the following product customization options:
- Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster is a printed sheet of flat canvas paper with a slightly rough structure on the surface. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin 2-6cm around the work of art, which facilitates the framing.
- Aluminium dibond: Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an impressive depth effect. The Aluminium Dibond Print is your perfect start to fine art replicas on aluminum. The bright components of the original work of art shine with a silk gloss but without any glare.
- Acrylic glass print: An acrylic glass print, often labelled as a fine art print on plexiglass, will turn the original artwork into marvellous décor. Your work of art will be custom-made with the help of modern UV direct printing technology. With an acrylic glass fine art print contrasts and minor artwork details become recognizeable with the help of the delicate tonal gradation. Our plexiglass protects your chosen art replica against light and external influences for many years to come.
- The canvas print: The UV printed canvas stretched on a wooden stretcher frame. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without the help of additional wall-mounts. Therefore, a canvas print is suited for any kind of wall.

Supplemental information from the museum (© - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)
When Cot exhibited this painting at the Salon of 1880, critics speculated about the source of the subject. Some proposed the French novel Paul and Virginie by Bernardin de Saint-Pierre (1737–1814), in which the teenage protagonists run for shelter in a rainstorm, using the heroine’s overskirt as an impromptu umbrella; others suggested the romance Daphnis and Chloe by the ancient Greek writer Longus. New York collector and Metropolitan Museum benefactor Catharine Lorillard Wolfe commissioned the work under the guidance of her cousin John Wolfe, one of Cot's principal patrons. Like the artist’s earlier Springtime (2012.575), it was immensely popular and extensively reproduced.
